For years, I drove past my own mailbox and thought the same thing: "That thing is ugly."
It was just a metal box on a mailbox post. Functional? Sure. But it sat at the front of my property the first thing neighbors, delivery drivers, and guests saw, and it added absolutely nothing to my home.
I looked for planter box solutions. Hanging baskets that swung in the wind and scratched the paint. Planters that required drilling holes I didn't want to make. Cheap plastic cups that faded to gray after one summer.
Nothing worked. So I built something that did.
SnapPot Was Born From Frustration
I didn't set out to start a company. I set out to solve a problem I had: How do you add a planter box to a mailbox without tools, drilling, or an engineering degree?
After a dozen prototypes, brackets that were too loose, liners that were too shallow, materials that cracked in the cold, I landed on the design that became SnapPot®.
